• Electrical / Mechanical Building Services Engineer, and Facilities Manager .
• For nine years, Estate Facilities Manager (Chief Engineer) for a Academic & Scientific Institute with a estate and engineering staff of 43. [85-94]
• For ten years Senior Hospital Engineering Manager with the West Essex Health Authority. [76-85]
• Since 1994, Carrying out Investigations, Condition survey of Commercial, Retail, Financial , Medical Institutions and Residential accommodation and services. Advising, produce action list and Asset Records, writing specification and tender procedure. Designing and carried out risk assessment, C D M regulations, working with M & E Building Services Surveyors and Consulting Engineers. Various small works, projects, investigation, assistance, CAD and second opinion for building services, facilities management or laboratory related works

During this time have worked on or controlled:-

• HVAC, Boilers (coal, oil and gas fired) for low, medium pressure hot water and steam,
• Low and high voltage (11KV) electrical supplies, data and telecommunication systems.
• Laboratory Scientific Engineering / Electronic Workshop.
• Responsible for piped Medical Gasses.
• Ultra low temperature Freezer's.
• Carried out condition survey and appraisal of facilities and establishments and given technical advice and information to Department of Health, Public Health Laboratory, Universities and Engineering Consultants.
• Worked with scientific staff and, with them, dealing with outside agencies (e.g. Health and Safety Executive, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, Home Office).
• Responsible and Authorised person for high voltage systems (11 Kv).
• Specified, design and management of installation work, commissioning and witnessing, certification of commissioning work on projects in the range of a few hundred pounds to several millions of pounds including work on high containment laboratories up to ACDP level 4.
• Implementing and controlling operational and building planed maintenance programmes and with production managers as diverse as laundries and pharmaceutical products.
• Testing of laboratory high containment facilities and other areas requiring checking and re-balancing when necessary for ventilation / pressure systems.
• Responsible for all security matters, both in-house and with outside agencies.
• Responsible for Grounds & Gardens, and support services.
• Responsible for all Building services.
• Surveys for Millennium Bug in Building Engineering Services.
